What Make Our Knives Different
Every knife from Midgard Metalworks is forged by hand in Beauregard, Alabama using time-tested methods and practical design. Our bladesmith works with 481 and 1055 steel, selecting each based on the intended use of the knife. Both steels are chosen for their toughness, reliability, and ability to perform in real working conditions. Each blade is forged, ground, and finished one at a time, ensuring no two knives are ever exactly alike.

What truly sets our knives apart is how they are built around the person who will carry them. For custom orders, we take measurements of the customer’s hand to create a handle that fits their grip naturally and comfortably. Whether wrapped in paracord, shaped from wood or antler, or left as a clean full-tang design, each handle is sized and balanced with intention. Customers can also collaborate directly with the bladesmith to combine multiple blade shapes into a single functional design. Every knife, custom or ready-to-ship, includes a handmade leather pocket sheath designed for secure everyday carry.

Our company is led by a partnership between a bladesmith with seven years of hands-on forging experience and an entrepreneur with eight years of business experience, combining skilled craftsmanship with thoughtful business practices. After a design is approved, we require a 25% deposit before forging begins, ensuring clarity and commitment on both sides. The remaining balance is due once the customer sees photos of the completed knife. Every blade is backed by a lifetime warranty and our commitment to stand behind our work.
